Friday, Saturday, and even Tuesday were mostly snow floating out of the sky. Very delicate, silent. There were periods where the wind would pick up for a few seconds and blow the snow around, but not like today. The majority of the day, we watched snow being whipped around by the wind, many times picking up so much that we could hardly see the cars in the front yard or the shed in the back.
As a white-out was calming down this afternoon.
Once again, we were lucky to not lose power. It seems like we got more snow today than we did on Friday and Saturday (Days 1 & 2), but most of that hadn't melted yet. All the spots where we had dug out the cars, made paths, or made snow angels were completely covered over.
The snow stopped early this evening, but the wind is still at it. There are some snow drifts that will easily be over 3 feet deep! This has certainly been an adventure...albeit an adventure that includes cooking, baking, reading, movies, NCIS marathons, and heat.Actually, this is my kind of adventure. Feel no need to send help. However, I did run out of ice cream, so a half gallon of cookies and cream would be greatly appreciated...
